*Disclaimer- It should be noted that when using a lightweight battery the Auto On/Off feature of the Ford Focus RS may not function.

Overall it was great! The mount points lined up exactly, all the hardware worked exactly as indicated in the video. Took about 15 minutes to complete and is very solid in the car. This, combined with a carbon fiber hood is one of the best weight-savings items you can do for the front end on the Focus platform. It also looks very clean in the engine bay and saves quite a bit of space. The quick disconnect for the metal cover holding the battery in place makes it very easy to remove, should you need to charge the battery out of the car (i.e: winter, long-term storage). Quick word of advice: don’t over tighten the battery posts.

I got this battery bracket for my 2016 Focus RS. I was really pleased to see how solid the mount is for being so lite. The mounting plate that sandwiches part of the stock battery platform to the bottom of the MeLe mount is nice and study. It looks great and it shaves pounds off of the factory setup. 10/10. Straight forward installation and shaved a crazy amount of weight off of the front end of the car right over the driven wheels.
Noticed the improve throttle response and acceleration immediately
Also, battery works just fine, car operates smooth like OEM
Looking to loose some weight (on your car)? Buy this box and get rid of that overweight factory battery!
It cuts weight over the front driver side tire which is the ideal place to loose weight. You can't simply cut 17 pounds off most areas of the car but this does it and does it in the perfect area, pretty amazing!
The box it well constructed and looks right at home and looks amazing in the engine bay.

This is honestly one of my favorite mods. And I have basically everything possible done to my ST. Such a simple, clean install and it makes accessing / removing the battery SO much easier. Plus 17 lbs lighter! You can't ask for much better than that. Truly an awesome product
